Independent Reading Discussion

Students! Share with us what it is you're reading by doing one or all of the following:

1) Summarize your book, up to what you've read so far.

2) Comment on what you like or don't like about the characters, the plot, or the conflict in the book.

3) Make connections to your life, the world, or other stories (i.e., other books, movies, etc.)

Oh, and you have a 50 word minimum here. We want to hear about what you're reading!
Best,
Mr. Lawler

  1. In the book that i am reading, two girls just got off a bus to their new school. These girls are not human and have magical powers. They hear noises in the distance and go to see what it is. They come across a bunch of little kids annoying a rattlesnake. The older girl recognizes the snake is getting angry and is about to strike at the kids closest to it. She then steps in front of the way and calms the snake down using her mind and the snake slithers away; she left the kids amazed.
